It's so organic-looking!    =^_^=    To me it seems more squishy than bonelike.
I like how it seems to be floating above clouds.  =D

Very interesting, hypnotic even. Is the texture linked to 3D space itself, meaning it changes because the object occupies different places over time?

Yes, the texture is a property defined by the space coordinates while the object moves through space.

Yep - think it was 120 frames á 256 colors stitched to an animated gif using ImageMagick

This is really hypnotic. It reminds me of a mental exercise that I do when I want to empty my mind, where I try to picture a cube with all it's corners pointing inwards. I think this could have been augmented if the background looked more organic like the inside of a gut to reflect the living object.
