Awesome!  Very creepy.  This reminds me of that old trypophobia CG video that was widely regarded as one of the most realistic of all time, www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUdpFN…

I thought you might enjoy it!  Yes, it's called "Sixes Last", created as a music video for the group Alias, by a visual FX studio called 1stAveMachine.  They used 3dsmax for modeling and camera mapping, and the Vray and FinalRender render engines, to produce the final shots.  1stAveMachine is an amazing studio, and are doing some outstanding work that is truly out of the box. www.dexigner.com/news/8894

Gorgeous links - the Quinns ad is amazing work too. Due to the movement the plants look like strange sort of sea life, and the way they animate it adds to it. Definitely the best organic CG 'Ive ever seen! Thanks again!

This is way better than anythiing I've done in the same vein, so I hardly feekl like showing you any of my amateur efforts, but there is one too strange to pass up [link] . This is one of the best eyes [link] , and this is the best monster eye [link] , Scylla.

These are interesting works - just another style I'd say. Great thing about DA is that you can create your style and the people who like it go ad comment :)

I also was thinking if using a mouth instead of an eye - but I went for an eye because I didn't find a cool mouth stock image and I think eyes are one of the most attention grabbing visuals on earth.

This is one supremely spectacular work that invades the viewer whole with the ominous, sinister power of the forbidden fruit tree awakening when you pass by and seducing you to come and gaze very deeply onto her eye, listen closely to her sweet voice, ultimate take an apple from her and imbibe and become one with this very dangerous dryad. Has very much the feel of a far more economical telling of the ancient Eden story where temptress, serpent, and forbidden fruit elements are all combined into one.
