There is just something off about that structure in the center. It is similar to the bottom of a skull with a strange crooked spine coming off of it. I think the whole piece would have been amazing without it; it seems out of place... even in the smaller part of this fractal-like design.
I agree, the image contains non-harmonic areas.
I did accept that because it isn't 'fractal-like design' - it is an actual fractal
And with the fractals it's like shooting photos in the wild - you would take a shot already if you think it's interesting - as the perfect shot need much much luck!
